Switched by Amanda Hocking was great! Wendy's mother tried to kill her when she was 6 years old. Wendy and her older brother, Matt, have been living with their aunt since their father died when Wendy was young. Wendy's mom always told her that she was a monster, and that Wendy was not her child. Wendy has always felt like she doesn't belong anywhere. She's constantly being kicked out of school, and thus forcing her aunt and brother to move around. She's never made any friends but at her new school she is constanlty being wathched by the new kid Finn. When she confronts him he leaves her more confused than ever, and wondering if maybe her mom was right after all.

I was hooked from the very beginning of this book and could not put it down. I was honestly suprised when I found out what Wendy really is. I was not expecting it, and it's so different than what has been done by YA authors lately. I'll be starting the second book soon!!
