Heart of the Huntress by Tess Oliver

Tess Oliver has a special place in the list of my favorite authors. Her book Camille was the first e-book I ever purchased for my kindle. I fell in love with the author and book immediately. I’ve made it my priority to read every single book written by Tess Oliver, and I’m slowly making my way through the list.

I loved the first book, Camille, and I was ecstatic when I realized it would be a series. Heart of the Huntress was fantastic. I didn’t believe it would be possible but I loved it even more than the first book. Camille and Nathaniel are together, and Nathaniel has been living his dream of working as a sailor. Dr. Bennett has agreed to travel to Transylvania to help with the werewolf problem there. The four of them; Camille, Nathaniel, Dr. Bennett, and Emily, all board the ship that Nathaniel has been working on to make the journey. Nathaniel and Camille are forced to act as strangers in order to keep Nathaniel’s good standing with the crew. It isn’t long before everything starts going wrong, and a young maid is killed by a werewolf. It seems like the trip was a bad idea and it may be impossible for anyone to return home alive…

This by far, is my favorite book by Tess Oliver. Camille is stronger than ever, though she does tend to lean more on Nathaniel. Nathaniel is amazing. He is crazy in love with Camille and proves it constantly by actions and words. This story is great, the characters are amazing and the ending was perfect. I truly hope this will not be the last book, because I am not ready to let go of Camille and Nathaniel!!
