Scorched Skies is a great sequel! The book starts off with Ari being frustrated, confused, and heartbroken! Ari's dad, Derek, knows the truth about her, and isn't dealing well. Someone close to Ari dies, and then someone else tries to kidnap her. Ari sets out with Jai and Charlie, with the help of the Red King, to pursue the man that wants to kidnap her. Along the way she has to deal with new friends, confusing feelings, and betrayal.

This story was awesome! I love the characters, especially Ari and Jai! We get to meet new characters, and get a deeper look at previous ones. Ari is having a hard time dealing with Jai's rejection and Charlie is having a hard time getting over Ari. Once again Samantha Young has written a book that I could not put down.
