Pieces of Eight by Melissa WrightMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
From the cover: After revealing her own dark past, Frey is forced to join with a group of strangers whose pasts seem to intertwine with her own. She struggles to regain her memories, her full power, only to find there is more danger on the other side. And now, there is no turning back.
Finally we get some answers. Pieces of Eight was much more entertaining than the first book in this series. We are finding out about Frey's past and watching her try to reconcile her two very different lives. While we are still left out of some pretty important details, mainly because Frey blacks out everytime the story gets really interesting, I am satisfied with what has happened so far. The only big question I would love to have answered is about Chevelle. I am dying to know where he fits in with Frey's past life!
